Bruce Smith spent time at Dismas House during 2002, after being released from prison. He attended 12-step meetings, and was allowed to hold one at Dismas on a regular basis. “It was nice you could do things here,” Bruce said. Since leaving Dismas, he notes, “I’ve gotten back into the swing of things,” owning his own business and carrying a message of recovery to others.
